There are many ways to take part in the zittme open-source project, and you do not have to be a developer. Contributors receive member grades and exclusive badges based on their activity.

MEMBER GRADES

Four contributor grades

Your grade and badge depend on how you contribute.

CM

Code Master

Code Master · CM

For people who contribute code: core development, bug fixes and key patch proposals. The equivalent of 'contributor' in the XE days. Selected monthly and kept for three months from selection.

Selection

  • At least one accepted security hotfix or critical core bug patch

To keep it

  • You lose the grade if you do not contribute within three months of selection

PD

Pro Developer

Pro Developer · PD

Third-party partners who grow the zittme PRO ecosystem. Register as a verified developer and publish at least three of your own paid or free solutions (modules, themes, layouts and more) in Resources to be reviewed. Selected monthly.

Criteria

  • Published resources must work properly
  • Paid products must handle buyer claims properly
  • Selected products may be featured in the Resources 'Partner developer picks' section

Notes

  • Neglected security risks, malicious code or serious long-unresolved issues remove the grade and may revoke Resources access
  • You lose the grade after six months without a release

Ambassador

Ambassador · AM

The face of the community, helping people create by sharing tips, answering Q&A and writing community guides. Promoted automatically when you meet the conditions.

To be promoted

  • At least 10 answers on the Q&A board
  • At least 5 accepted answers (accepted or recommended by the team)
  • At least one BEST pick on the tips board

To keep it

  • Write at least 3 Q&A answers a month

Vanguard

Vanguard · VG

Beta testers and QA who try new features first and find defects. Join at least one test and report feedback or bugs to receive the grade.

To receive it

  • Join a test mission for a new core or official module release and report feedback and bugs

To keep it

  • You lose the grade if you skip the next test mission, or join without reporting feedback
