Not a blog faked with boards, but a blog module (blogZ) built from scratch for people who write. It continues what XE Textyle did, with its own editor and themes. Until then, newsrooms and company stories work today with boards and a theme.

Anyone who used Textyle knows: a blog is not a board. Each post is the star, and the writing screen has to be the tool.

    Title, subtitle, cover image and body on one screen. Paste photos, tables, code, quotes, embeds, drafts, scheduled publishing.

    Categories, tags, series, pinned posts, private and scheduled posts, a unique URL for every post.

03The layout in screens

blogZ screens will be shown on the development status page. Below are the newsroom screens you can build with boards today.

Your posts are the home page

Photos from the latest posts become cover slides, followed by featured articles, stories and recent news cards. No widget page needed.

  • Cover slide board, count and interval settings
  • Category chips, source and date on cards
  • Section order set with repeat fields

Writing is light even now

Title, body, cover image, categories, tags. Paste a photo and it becomes the thumbnail. With blogZ this becomes a dedicated editor that adds subtitles, series, scheduled publishing and drafts.

The core gets you ready for search engines

Sitemap, structured data, social previews, robots and IndexNow. Just check the SEO screen in admin.

When blogZ ships, board posts will move over as they are. Starting now costs you nothing.

Apply a theme and create a post board. Set it as the home cover board and you have a newsroom.

STEP 2blogZ release

Install the dedicated module and move board posts to blogZ. URLs stay the same.

STEP 3To the dedicated editor

Subtitles, series, scheduled publishing, subscriptions and stats, all on blog-only screens.

Can I move a Textyle blog?
It is one of blogZ's goals. We are building import tools for XE Textyle, Rhymix boards and Tistory export files.
When is blogZ coming?
Progress is public on the development status page and the issue tracker. Release news goes to News and the release notes.
If I start with boards now, will I have to rebuild later?
No. We are building a migration from board posts to blogZ alongside it, and post URLs are kept.
Can I add ads?
Put AdSense code into a theme banner slot or widget. An ads module is in development.
