What you do with verification differs by site. Turn on only what you need.
Verification at sign-up
When on, members must verify by phone to sign up. Real name, date of birth and gender come from the provider and fill the member profile.
Duplicate sign-up prevention
If the same person already verified with another account, verification is refused. Stops one person from making many accounts.
Account recovery
Forgot your ID or password? Confirm it is you by phone and set a new password.
Adult gate
Set an age threshold and pick target boards or modules. Visitors must verify to enter them.
Age-based groups
Members are sorted into groups automatically by verified age. Combine with group permissions for fine-grained access.
Verification records
When and how each person verified is recorded. Only the personal data needed is stored; the rest is not kept.
Sign with a provider, then enter the details
Danal mobile identity verification is supported today. Enter the credentials from your Danal contract in the admin panel and switch it on. More providers are planned.

You sign the provider contract yourself
Identity verification is a paid service that goes through carriers and a verification provider. The core handles the exchange with the provider; the contract and fees are between the provider and the site operator.
