Selling overseas
This covers what you need when selling to other countries: languages, currencies, and regional shipping fees.
Languages
The commerce screens support 12 languages.

독일어 러시아어 베트남어 튀르키예어 몽골어If you enable languages in the core, visitors see the store in their own language. With the heritage theme, a language switcher appears at the top (when two or more languages are enabled).
Text you enter yourself, such as product names and options, must be linked separately with the multilingual button. For details, see Products, options, and stock.
Currencies
The base currency is set in zittme Pay. Commerce follows that value.
- Enter product prices in the base currency
- If you turn on additional payment currencies, you can enter separate prices per currency for each product, or sell with automatic conversion by exchange rate
- Visitors can change the currency at the top right of the shopping screens
On non-Korean screens, Korean won is shown as KRW 12,000. 원 is used only on Korean screens.
Regional shipping surcharges
Add extra charges for places where shipping costs more, such as remote areas or overseas. Set them under Regional shipping surcharges in Console > Settings > Shipping · Claims.
Setup steps
- Click Add region
- Choose a country
- Type a few letters in the State/province search field and pick an administrative region
- Enter the surcharge
You must pick the administrative region from the list. If you only type text and click elsewhere, the value is cleared. This is because a typo saved as a value would not match what the buyer selects, and the surcharge would silently not apply.
Included countries
595 administrative regions in 16 countries are included.

If you choose a country that is not on the list, the state/province field disappears. The same surcharge then applies to the entire country.
Postal codes work for Korea
When you choose Korea, a postal code field appears as well. You can use it instead of, or together with, the state/province.

Varying by purchase amount
Use this when you want to lower the shipping fee for larger purchases in the same region. Clicking Add tier adds a row.

The highest tier passed applies. A purchase of 70,000 won gets 3,000 won, and a purchase of 120,000 won gets 0 won. Below 50,000 won, the base surcharge entered above the tiers applies.
If you set the last tier's surcharge to 0, the surcharge is waived from that amount on.
What buyers see
When a buyer chooses a country on the checkout page, the state/province field switches to that country's list. Buyers also search and pick.
When a surcharge applies, a separate line appears in the payment summary.

Check before you sell
Payment methods — PayPal does not accept Korean won. If you sell overseas, set a foreign base currency or turn on additional payment currencies.
Address format — Overseas addresses collect city and state/province separately. Korea uses postal code search. The screen adapts automatically to the country.
Phone numbers — Overseas orders include a country code field.
Common problems
The regional shipping surcharge is not applied
Try selecting the region again in the settings screen and saving. Before 0.2.3, regions were stored as text; now they are stored as codes. Old settings left as is will not match.
The state/province field does not appear
That country has no administrative region list. You can only charge at the country level.
I need to sell to a country that is not on the list
You can already charge at the country level. If you need administrative regions, leave a note on the community board and we will add them.
